Are your nails soft and prone to breaking? You are not alone! Brittle nails is a very common problem for women and dealing with it can be very frustrating! As someone who is suffering from splitting nails, I am always on the hunt for good strengtheners that make weak nails grow.
Recently, I was invited by Ecrinal to take their 10 days challenge using the nail kit specially formulated to help strengthening soft and split nails.
After taking this challenge, I am sharing with you today all the details about the treatment , my impressions and the result that I got!
What is in the kit?
The Ecrinal for ‘soft and splitting nails’ package included:
– a vitamin nail strengthener
– a clear and shiny strengthening top coat
– an acetone free gentle polish remover
The instructions for use are as follows:
1. For at least 10 days, start by applying the vitamin nail strengthener twice a day (or more if necessary) on the whole nail and also under the free edge. For the first 4 to 5 days, it is preferable to put it on bare nails.
2. After 4 to 5 days, it is time to start using the clear and shiny strengthening top coat. Once applied, it gives the nail a shiny finish and it should be refreshed every 5 to 7 days.
3. To continue the challenge, you can still apply the vitamin nail strengthener on top of the clear and shiny strengthening top coat every single day.
Now let’s dive into more details in each of these products!
This strengthener contains Provitamin B5 and Zinc that helps restoring and repairing soft and weak nails. It penetrates quickly into the nails and it is totally invisible. As I have extremely soft and splitting nails, I applied it three times a day during the challenge!
The clear and shiny strengthening top coat
This top coat helps in strengthening and improving the nail natural resistance against impacts and breakage. It gives the nail a brilliant shiny finish and it should be refreshed every 5 to 7 days. If your hands are in contact with water a lot, you might need to refresh it more often which means every 4 to 5 days. When applying this coat, you should also insist on the arear under the free edge and on the matrix of the nail which is the cellular layer that is present at the base of the nail .
The acetone free gentle polish remover
You can get this remover as a FREE gift if you purchase any two nail or brow care products. This remover does not contain Acetone as the other traditional nail polish removers. Even though Acetone is very effective for removing any nail color, it can be harsh and it can dry out the nails. Acetone-free removers has ‘ethyl acetate’ instead that is more gentle on the nails. Although acetone free removers are known to be less effective than those with acetone, I found this remover to be very effective and quick!! As someone who suffered from dry nails, I switched to acetone free removers a long time ago and I encourage you to do so if you have the same issue.
Here is the result that i got:
As you can see in the picture, I noticed a big improvement after this challenge. My nails are now stronger and less prone to breaking. The secret of this challenge is to apply all the strengtheners in the recommended frequency. If you have soft and split nails, I highly recommend you take this challenge too! By the way If you have more ‘dry and brittle’ nails, Ecrinal has also another kit that is especially formulated for this type of nails too !

Now this is something I definitely need!
Blush & Pearls by Angela
I really need to try this out, my nails are so weak and paper thin because I always get shellac done, so this sounds like it would be perfect for me.
