Hello Everyone! Today’s post is all about the new Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder. Maybelline just added a new loose finishing powder to their fit me line and it comes in eight shades. Usually loose powders don’t come in a lot of colors and having this variety of colors to choose from is amazing! I got the shade 10 Fair-Light which has more of a yellow undertone.

This powder claims to help control the shine and smooth skin’s texture. It is also supposed to provide the perfect finishing touch to the makeup base. Although this powder is labeled as a ‘finishing powder’ , it claims to act more as a ‘setting powder’. Usually Setting powders are applied after foundation to set everything in place and matify the skin whereas finishing powders are supposed to be applied at the end of the makeup to blur fine lines and pores.
I find this powder to be smooth but not as smooth and finely milled as the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder . It sets the foundation nicely and it helps blurring the pores but in my opinion, it works best when applied with a light hand as it can look a little bit heavy if you apply too much.
As for mattifying the skin, I have extremely oily skin and this powder kept my face matte for about 2-3 hours which is not bad.

I also used it for baking the under eye concealer but I was not a big fan of the result that I got. I think it looked a little heavy under the eyes. For this technique, I prefer more the Laura Mercier Translucent loose setting powder or even the Rimmel Match Perfection Loose Powder.
So overall, I think that for setting the face, the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder could be a good drugstore option. If applied lightly, it gives the skin a nice seamless look. The packaging also helps the product not to get everywhere so thumbs up for that!
Have you tried this powder? What do you think about it?

I can see it on your arm even after blending. That’s a deal breaker right there. Looking forward to reading more reviews!
This looks not bad! Have you found it to make your skin feel tight or dehydrated?
I mainly use powders to set underneath my eyes, so I wouldn’t want it to feel too heavy, but otherwise it sounds good for the summer x

I love loose powders but the only ones that I use are HD powders. This sounds pretty good, will keep an eye out for sale.
