CC Cream Before and After

The popularity of CC cream can be attributed to its all-in-one properties – it can be a moisturizer, primer, and color corrector all in one! This fantastic product can give you great coverage while also providing hydration.

One of the best CC Creams I’ve ever tried is the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better SPF50. It comes in 12 shades, and it provides medium to full coverage.

This color-correcting cream can help hide redness, hyperpigmentation, and dark spots. It is a versatile product that can be used in various ways to achieve different looks. It can be applied all over the face for a natural look or only on problem areas for more coverage.

I took this image in natural daylight to see the actual effect of this cream.

This “Color Correcting Cream” has peptides that help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It has a thick and creamy formula that is very pigmented. You only need a small amount to cover the entire face and achieve great results. A little bit goes a long way with this product.

Tip: Avoid applying too much of this cream as it will make your skin look heavy and cakey.

This cream has an SPF of 50, and it contains zinc oxide and titanium dioxide that help protect your skin from the sun. These ingredients are usually found in physical sunscreens that reflect the light away from the skin.

These two ingredients usually cause flashback in photos, but this one from It Cosmetics doesn’t have that problem.

I have dry skin, and I found that preparing and moisturizing my skin before applying the CC cream helps to keep my skin hydrated all day long. Otherwise, the cream can accentuate any dry patches on the face.

I suggest using a mattifying primer before any makeup application if you have oily skin. Many silicone-based primers have mattifying properties that can help to control oil and shine.

Use a pressed or loose powder or a setting spray to set the makeup. I like to use a translucent setting powder that’s finely milled to achieve a natural look.

When it comes to Color Correcting Creams, It Cosmetics does have the best of the best! If you’re looking for a color-correcting cream that will provide excellent coverage, hydration, and anti-aging benefits, then I highly recommend trying out this Illuminating Color Correcting Cream. It has the same benefits as the original formula, but it provides a glowy finish that works the best for dry skin.

How To Apply CC Cream

When it comes to applying a Color Correcting cream, less is more. You only need a small amount of product to get full coverage.

Prepare The Skin

Before applying any makeup, it is essential to have a good skincare routine. This means cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing your face regularly. By taking care of your skin, you will create a canvas ready for makeup, and your complexion will be looking its best.

If you have dry skin, apply a rich moisturizer under CC Cream. If you have oily skin, you can skip the moisturizer or use a lightweight one instead.

Tip: Make sure to use sunscreen under your CC or BB Cream to protect your skin from the sun. Makeup with added sunscreen is not enough to provide complete sun protection.

Dot The CC Cream

After your skin is prepped and ready, it is time to apply the Color Correcting cream. Take a small amount of product on your fingers and dot it on the areas where you have redness, dark spots, or hyperpigmentation. A pea-sized amount of product is all you need to cover the entire face. Avoid using too much makeup as this can make your skin look dry and cakey.

Tip: If you have small dark spots that needs to be covered, you can use a concealer instead of BB or CC Cream.

Blend For An Even Finish

Use your fingers or a makeup sponge like the beauty blender to blend the CC cream. Pat the product and smooth it out instead of rubbing it in. This will help to achieve an even and natural-looking finish.

You can use a makeup brush too, but I find that using your fingers or a sponge gives the best results. A damp makeup sponge helps absorb any excess product, which prevents the makeup from looking cakey.

Build It Up for a Flawless Look

You can always build up the CC cream if you need more coverage. Apply a thin layer on top and blend it out. By using a light hand, you will avoid looking like you have too much makeup on.

You can also wear a regular foundation on top of your Color Correcting cream. The CC cream can act as a primer that helps to color-correct the skin and create a smooth canvas for your foundation.

Set It With Powder

Once you are happy with the way your makeup looks on the skin, it is time to set it with powder. This will help prevent the makeup from separating on your nose or t-zone.

If you are using a pressed powder, I suggest using a lightweight one like this long lasting powder, and it will mattify the skin without making it look cakey. You can also use a setting spray if you want your makeup to last all day long.

How To Choose The Best CC Cream

When it comes to choosing the best Color Correcting cream, it is essential to find one that’s suitable for your skin type. If you have dry skin, look for one that is hydrating like this Cream with radiant finish . If you have oily skin, find a lightweight CC cream that gives the skin a matte finish like this flawless matte cream .

Another thing to consider is the level of coverage that you want. Some CC creams provide full coverage, while others are sheer. If you’re going to cover up redness or dark spots, you will need a product with medium to full coverage.

CC Creams also come in a variety of shades so make sure to choose the best CC Cream shade that matches your skin tone.

Can You Use CC Cream Daily?

use cc creams daily

Yes, CC cream can be used on a daily basis, and it can replace your foundation or tinted moisturizer. I love CC creams because they have hydrating properties, and they provide more coverage than a tinted moisturizer.

They are also packed with skincare ingredients that are beneficial for the skin. For example, some CC creams contain antioxidants that help to protect the skin from free radicals and pollution.

Final Thoughts

I hope this post has helped you understand the benefits of CC cream and how to apply it correctly. CC cream is one of my favorite products because it is easy to use and provides good coverage.

If you have dry skin, choose a color-correcting cream that is hydrating. If you have oily skin, choose a lightweight Color Correcting cream with a matte finish. And finally, if you have rosacea or hyperpigmentation, select one with medium to full coverage.

  1. Hi Claire , I use IT cosmetics Cc cream, actually it’s my 3 tube. I notice that my cheeks have a cakey appearance. When I use foundation I don’t have this problem, why is that so when CC cream has a lighter texture.

    • The It cosmetics CC Cream has a thicker formula than most CC creams, providing medium to full coverage. When applying it to your cheeks, you can gradually use a small amount and build up the coverage. To avoid getting a cakey appearance, you can use a damp sponge to blend it in.
